Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Hook.Notifier, a free notification service operated by Minimal Roleplay, 6 Boulevard de l'Espérance, 14123 Cormelles-le-Royal, France ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What Hook.Notifier is

Hook.Notifier turns an HTTP request into a real native push notification on your phone and in your browser inbox. You get a personal URL, you call it from anything that can make an HTTP request, and you get notified. That is the whole service.

It is free

Hook.Notifier is provided free of charge. There is no subscription, no payment, and no quota you have to pay to lift. Because it is free, it is provided on a best-effort basis: we may change, limit, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time, and we are not obliged to maintain any particular feature.

Your account

You need an account to use Hook.Notifier. You are responsible for keeping your password and your hook keys confidential. Anyone who has your hook URL can send notifications to your account, so treat it as a secret. If a key is exposed, you can revoke it or reset your identifiers from your account settings.

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to create an account. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Hook.Notifier to:

• send spam, harassment, or notifications to people who have not agreed to receive them;
• send unlawful, infringing, or harmful content;
• abuse the service, for example by trying to overwhelm it, bypass rate limits, or probe it for vulnerabilities without permission;
• use it to attack, deceive, or defraud anyone.

We apply a generous anti-abuse rate limit. If you seriously or repeatedly break these rules, we may suspend or delete your account.

Your content

The notifications you send and their content are yours. You keep all rights to them. You grant us only the technical permission needed to store and deliver them to you and to the members of your team when you choose to. We do not claim ownership and we do not use your content for anything other than running the service.

No warranty

Hook.Notifier is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that notifications will always be delivered, delivered on time, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Push delivery depends on third parties (such as Google and Apple) and on your device and network, which are outside our control. Do not rely on Hook.Notifier as the sole channel for anything safety-critical.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from a missed, delayed, or undelivered notification, from a service interruption, or from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under French law.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings, on the web dashboard or in the mobile app. Deletion is immediate and permanent and removes your account, your notifications, and your push token. We may also delete accounts that break these terms or that stay inactive for a long time.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. When we make a meaningful change, we update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Hook.Notifier after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent French courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules that apply where you live.
